One of my least favorite thing about being pregnant is the way my skin feels. My skin gets to dry and itchy. Since I have always been pregnant in the winter, this adds to the dryness and makes it so much more uncomfortable. Basq Skincare graciously sent me their Resilient Body Oil Trio Set to try out, and I absolutely love it! I’ve never personally minded stretch marks too much, however, I’ve been lucky enough to only get one or two after each pregnancy. I consider them “battle scars,” so the appearance of them doesn’t bother me. I do know women who get terrible stretch marks, and some women find the appearance of them ugly and embarrassing.
A couple key ingredients in the Basq Resilient Body Oil are sweet almond oil and rosehip oil. The sweet almond oil has natural antimicrobial properties which help prevent local bacterial infections in healing wounds, minimizing the chances of scarring and ugly marks. It’s also been known to tighten sagging skin. Rosehip oil has a high content of essential fatty acids known to heal scars and restore normal skin color.
The Basq Resilient Body Oil Trio comes with three different fragrances. REVIVE is Grapefruit Citrus and has a very fresh invigorating scent. FRESH, a Eucalyptus Spa blend, is refreshing and energizing. CALM is a Lavender Pear Scent that promotes relaxation and calm. I immediately gravitated to the Lavender Pear fragrance, as I’m sort of a sucker for anything lavender, but I actually found that I preferred the Eucalyptus Spa scent! Fortunately, I was blessed with a husband that loves to pamper me. So after a less than relaxing day running after kids, he gave me a nice back and belly massage with the Eucalyptus Spa. I was feeling very refreshed and relaxed!
